Matenco AB is an experienced and well-regarded subcontractor in advanced manufacturing of customized components, primarily in stainless steel. The company specializes in the production of tailored and complex products with high precision. As a leading player in the industry, Matenco delivers products to various sectors worldwide, with three major customer segments being pump and water solutions, medical technology, and the energy industry.

The company was founded in 1984 and currently has around 30 employees distributed across several departments that work closely together in daily operations.

We are now looking for an additional meticulous and dedicated Grinding Technician for our grinding and polishing department at the production unit in Jordbro.

About the position

As a Grinding Technician, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our manufacturing process. You will work with mechanical surface treatment, where you grind and polish finished products – primarily in stainless steel – to achieve the correct surface finish and quality.

You will work practically from day one and will be gradually introduced alongside experienced colleagues. The work is team-based but requires independent responsibility for tool management and attention to detail.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform rough grinding, fine grinding, and polishing of metal components, primarily stainless steel
  • Operate and monitor grinding and polishing machines
  • Set up machines according to material, speed, and specifications
  • Ensure high surface quality before final inspection and delivery

Your profile

We primarily value technical interest, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to develop in the profession. Previous experience in similar work is advantageous but not a requirement.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school education
  • Good technical understanding or mechanical skills
  • Experience in industrial jobs or workshop work
  • Communication skills in Swedish or English

You have an eye for detail and a strong focus on quality. You thrive in a production environment where you work with your hands, and you appreciate the value of craftsmanship and precision. You take responsibility for your tasks and are proactive in improving routines, work methods, and workflows. We also believe you enjoy working goal-oriented and structured.

Working hours

40 hours per week:

  • Monday–Thursday: 07:00–16:00
  • Friday: 07:00–14:00

What we offer

With us, you will be part of a cohesive team with high professional pride, where we continuously invest in both technology and personnel. To enhance comfort, we moved into new, modern premises two years ago with good accessibility – just a few minutes' walk from Jordbro train station.

You will have a role where you can grow both personally and professionally as we develop our processes and strengthen our position as a leading partner in the manufacturing of quality stainless steel products.
